Business Continuity

The BankerTek Business Continuity Planning practice provides perspectives and solutions in planning for a range of events and loss scenarios.

We offer consulting services in risk assessment, strategy definition, solution design, implementation, testing, and program maintenance.

Our practice is build on a program approach that considers the organization's continuity risk profile, business recovery objectives,resources, and existing recovery capabilities with the goal of developing on-going resiliency capabilities within the organization. With our in-depth expertise in financial services and other industries, we offer the following services:

• Infrastructure Assessment – Review the client's existing technology and facilities infrastructure to determine the recovery capabilities and identify issues that will affect the ability to implement recovery plans.
• BC Strategy Definition – Compare recovery requirements to existing recovery capabilities. Identify and document BC/DR solutions to mitigate risks, address recovery gaps, and meet cost objectives. Review proposed solutions with client management and modify approach as needed. Recommend accepted 'best practices' in continuity and provide a roadmap of projects and tasks to implement recommendations and avoid common planning pitfalls.
• BC Program Implementation – Assist the client in organizing existing staff and resources to best manage business continuity as an on-going practice that integrates with existing operations and continually provides the level of recovery needed even as the business and technology change.
• Recovery Plan Development – Define and document recovery plans to support the recommended strategy, focusing on technology/application recovery, workplace recovery, and incident management. The primary deliverables are precise and executable plan documents that can be quickly and easily followed during a continuity event to provide the needed recovery.
• Recovery Infrastructure Planning and Implementation – Design, implement, and test the technical resources needed to support recovery, particularly in the area of data and applications. After implementation, define processes for on-going monitoring and management of these resources.
• Training and Awareness – Develop and deliver a program to train staff to execute recovery plans and to promote awareness of the continuity program to all employees.
• Recovery Plan Testing – Plan and manage tests of the recovery plans to verify accuracy and workability and to rehearse recovery teams in the process of plan execution. Tests include recording of test results and post-test follow-ups and plan modifications.
